Project Overview:

Aged Care & Elder Advice is a legal and consultancy practice that offers advice and services around aged care, retirement village contracts, home care, residential care, respite, financial & legal implications, and advocacy. The project was to design and build a site that clearly conveys complex legal / aged-care information in a compassionate, trustworthy way. It needed to help users understand their options, feel supported, and engage the business (for advice / placement etc.) via contact or enquiry. The goal was to make navigating aged care choices less overwhelming by providing a clean, accessible online presence.

Role:

  • Defined site structure and content hierarchy to present services like residential aged care placement, legal advice, financial / fees negotiation, home care options, respite, etc., clearly.
  • Designed the visual layout and user interface to feel professional, empathetic, and trustworthy — using imagery, typography, colours, layout that reduce cognitive load.
  • Developed the website in WordPress so that content (services, advice, contact forms, blog / resources) can be updated by the client.
  • Implemented strong calls-to-action, helping people reach out / get advice / start a placement process.
  • Ensured responsive design for mobile, tablet, desktop.
  • Optimized for readability and clarity — given the legal / technical nature of some content, focused on making text digestible, using sections, headings, summaries etc.

Key Features:

  • Clear services listings: Residential accommodation options, legal advice, aged care placement, home care services, respite, financial / fees counselling, contract negotiation.
  • Advice & advocacy positioning**: emphasising that the firm is independent, not aligned with any particular provider, to build trust.
  • Contact / Enquiry functionality: so users can begin the conversation / make appointments / request more info.
  • Downloadable / Resource Content: Blogs, articles, possibly FAQs to guide people through aged care system, contracts, eligibility etc. (helps with trust and SEO).
  • Strong visual & emotional design: Warm imagery, calming layout, clear typography so the legal details don’t feel cold or overwhelming.
  • Responsive & accessible design: ensuring the site works well on all devices, is easy to read, and navigation is intuitive.

Outcome:

The resulting site gives Aged Care & Elder Advice a professional, compassionate online presence that helps people navigating ageing, care, legal and financial decisions feel informed, supported, and able to take the next step. It helps reduce anxiety by clarifying services, steps, and responsibilities. It enhances trust via transparent positioning, and supports lead generation through contact / enquiry flows. Overall, it strengthens their credibility in a complex space and improves user engagement & client conversion.
